Destination Motivation!

What gets you motivated to begin or continue your weight loss journey? I'm really trying to focus on what motivates me to keep me on track this time. Here are some of my motivating factors:

1. Pregnancy. I want to get pregnant this summer. I do not want to start out a pregnancy looking like a whale and feeling like a slug. Being healthy is something that I want to accomplish this go-around instead of just weight loss, hence the major diet changes this time.

2. Weddings. I am in a wedding this summer and next May. Those are both hot months (for me) and the last thing I want to be doing is sweating up a storm and breathing like a heifer up there. I hate the idea of being the "fat" bridesmaid. That may be shallow, I know, but I still hate it nonetheless. 

3. Vacation. We are going to Colorado Springs this summer with my best friend and her husband and I want to be cute! I know I won't be getting in a bathing suit or anything, but we want to hike, fish, etc. and I'll be damned if I can't do it!

4. Races. I want to do more races and get more cute shirts!


5. Summer. Enough said.

  3. Yes Sarah! Number one was my main reason too. Now that I am 40 pounds, hubby and I are finally TTC... I would like to weigh less, but I FEEL so much better and that is what matters. The health is number one, not necessarily weight loss. You've got this.
